Terms of use
Terms of use
These terms govern the free use of the TaxMap information service.
1. Scope
These terms apply to access to and use of TaxMap. TaxMap provides information about municipal taxes and tax indicators.
TaxMap is a free information service. The website currently offers no user accounts, paid services, orders or contract conclusion.
2. Content of the service
The displayed data, maps and calculations are provided for general information only. They do not constitute tax, legal, financial or other professional advice and do not replace individual professional advice.
Data status, official sources and calculation methods may change. Before making a decision with legal or financial significance, consult the authoritative official sources or qualified professional advice.
3. Permitted use
You may use TaxMap in accordance with these terms and applicable law. In particular, you may not interfere with its operation, circumvent technical protection measures, make automated requests at a volume that impairs the service, or use the website for unlawful purposes.
4. Availability and changes
TaxMap is provided without a guarantee of any particular availability, completeness or currency. Functions, data sources and displays may be changed, restricted or discontinued where objectively justified.
5. Rights in content and data
TaxMap's technical implementation, design and original content are protected by copyright. Official data and other third-party content are subject to their respective source notices and licence terms. Third-party rights remain unaffected.
6. Liability
TaxMap has unlimited liability for intent and gross negligence, and for damages resulting from injury to life, body or health. In the event of a slightly negligent breach of an essential obligation, liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical for this type of service. In all other cases, liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
7. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated if the service changes. The current version is always available on this page.
